1. Information we may collect

Depending on the feature you choose to use, Marichu Between Worlds (“MBW,” “we,” “us,” or “Marichu”) may collect:

• Contact information: name, email address, telephone number, and the content of your inquiry.
• Booking information: selected service, appointment date and time, virtual or in-person preference, accessibility requests, location or travel details, and acceptance of applicable terms.
• Payment and transaction information: purchase amount, payment status, discount eligibility, billing details, and transaction identifiers. Full payment-card information should be processed by the payment provider rather than stored by MBW.
• Giveaway information: name, email address, age and residency eligibility confirmations, entry date, and winner communications.
• Newsletter information: email address, subscription status, consent record, and engagement or unsubscribe activity provided by the mailing service.
• Order and shipping information: recipient name, shipping address, order details, and delivery or carrier information when products or spirit art become available.
• Session information: information you voluntarily provide before or during a service, scheduling notes, and limited administrative records. Please avoid submitting sensitive information that is not necessary.
• Technical information: hosting and service providers may automatically process IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, referring pages, and basic security or diagnostic logs.

2. How information may be used

Information may be used to:

• Respond to inquiries and provide requested services;
• Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and administer appointments or events;
• Process payments, discounts, refunds, orders, shipping, and accounting records;
• Administer giveaways and contact eligible winners;
• Send newsletters or promotional messages only when you choose to subscribe;
• Maintain acceptance records for Terms, policies, and consent choices;
• Protect clients, MBW, the website, and service providers from misuse, fraud, or security threats;
• Meet tax, accounting, legal, insurance, and recordkeeping obligations; and
• Improve website usability and service operations using reasonably necessary information.

Information collected for giveaway entry will not automatically enroll you in the newsletter. Marketing consent will remain separate and optional.

3. When information may be shared

MBW does not intend to sell personal information. Information may be disclosed only as reasonably necessary:

• To vendors supporting website hosting, scheduling, video sessions, email, forms, payment processing, accounting, file storage, shipping, or security;
• To comply with applicable law, legal process, tax obligations, or a valid governmental request;
• To protect the rights, safety, property, or security of a client, MBW, or another person;
• To professional advisers such as an attorney, accountant, insurer, or information-security provider; or
• As part of a business reorganization, transfer, or sale, subject to applicable law and appropriate notice.

Vendors may use information under their own privacy terms. MBW will seek services appropriate to the information being processed and will not authorize unrelated use where that can reasonably be controlled.

4. Cookies and website technology

Squarespace, Google reCAPTCHA, and other service providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, or similar technologies that are necessary for security, preferences, form operation, payment, scheduling, or basic analytics. MBW does not currently intend to use personal information for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.

If nonessential analytics or advertising technologies are added, this policy and any required consent controls should be updated before they are activated.

5. Data retention and security

Information will be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, client service, dispute resolution, security, accounting, tax, insurance, and legal obligations. Different records may require different retention periods.

MBW will use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a small service business. However, no website, email, video platform, payment system, or storage method can guarantee absolute security. Do not send Social Security numbers, passwords, full payment-card details, medical records, or other unnecessary highly sensitive information through a general inquiry form.

6. Your choices and privacy requests

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link provided in the message. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held directly by MBW, subject to identity verification and any information MBW must retain for legal, tax, accounting, security, contractual, or dispute purposes.

Additional rights may apply depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to MBW. MBW will not discriminate against a person for making a privacy request protected by applicable law.

7. Children’s privacy

This website and MBW’s directly booked services are intended for adults age 18 or older. MBW does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, email contact@marichubetweenworlds.com so the information can be reviewed and, when appropriate, deleted.

8. Policy updates and contact

This policy may be updated as services, vendors, legal requirements, or information practices change. The effective date will be revised when material changes are published. The version in effect when information is collected governs that collection, subject to applicable law.
