How I promise to practice
Ethics, care & professional boundaries
Spiritual work carries influence. I believe that influence must be held with honesty, humility, compassion, and respect for every client’s autonomy.
My declaration
The client remains the authority in their own life.
Care without control. Guidance without fear.
My role is to share what I receive as clearly and responsibly as I can—not to make decisions for you, claim certainty I do not have, or create dependence on me or my services.
These commitments are shaped by my own values, professional experience supporting people and families, and continuing development with mentors including Brooke Inman, Natalie Lucia, Danielle Searancke—the Squamish Medium—and Cindy Kaza.
Mentor names describe my training and development. They do not imply certification, business affiliation, supervision, or endorsement of Marichu Between Worlds.
Honesty over performance
I will distinguish intuitive impressions from confirmed facts, say when something is unclear, and never invent, exaggerate, or force a message to appear more convincing. I will not guarantee contact with a particular spirit, prediction, or result.
Autonomy over authority
I will offer information for reflection while respecting your free will, beliefs, and right to disagree. I will not tell you that Spirit requires you to obey me, surrender decision-making, or purchase another service.
No fear-based practice
I will not claim that you are cursed, possessed, spiritually attacked, destined for tragedy, or in danger as a tactic to frighten, control, or sell additional services. I will not use grief, uncertainty, or vulnerability to create urgency or dependence.
Consent and boundaries
You may decline a topic, ask questions, pause, or end a session. I will not knowingly read a third party as a substitute for their consent, diagnose another person, investigate private conduct, or use spiritual claims to make accusations.
Scope and responsible referral
I will stay within the scope of spiritual, intuitive, creative, educational, and complementary wellness services. I will not diagnose or replace medical, mental-health, veterinary, legal, financial, emergency, or other licensed care. When a need falls outside my role, I will say so and encourage qualified support.
Privacy and dignity
I will handle personal stories and session information with care, subject to legal and safety obligations. I will not publish testimonials, recordings, images, identifying details, or client experiences without permission, and I will communicate sensitive information respectfully.
Respect across difference
I welcome clients across identities, cultures, faiths, family structures, abilities, and backgrounds. I will approach traditions that are not mine with humility, avoid claiming identities or teachings that do not belong to me, and remain open to correction when impact differs from intent.
Transparent business practices
I will clearly state services, prices, timing, limitations, cancellation terms, and what a client can reasonably expect. I will not hide required fees, fabricate scarcity, promise impossible outcomes, or misrepresent my education, experience, mentorship, or credentials.
Accountability and continuing growth
I will maintain boundaries, reflect on my impact, continue learning, and avoid practicing when illness, exhaustion, distress, or impairment prevents responsible care. If I make an error, I will listen, address what can be corrected, and improve my practice.
A shared standard
Ethics are more than words on a page.
They are the choices made before, during, and after every session. Clients are also expected to communicate honestly, respect boundaries, protect the privacy of others, and use spiritual services responsibly.
